Striking jalapeño-shaped peppers ripen from glossy black to deep garnet red. Sturdy plants reach about 60 cm (2 ft) tall and are heavily laden with early-ripening, thin-walled, pointed fruits. Use them just like jalapeños. Mild heat at 1,000–2,500 SHU.
